TR SAND
Tr sand, is highly compactable and guaranteed to save project costs onsite. Used for installing high voltage power cable underground, it’s specifically manmade engineered backfill material.
With its quartz base and thorough grading, it offers an incredibly low thermal resistivity rating of around 1.2km/W, at 97% compaction of MDD and 0% moisture. With its high compaction rate, it is ideal for being tightly packed around the power cable, reducing air space and dropping the resistance of heat flow between the cable and the surrounding environment. Allowing the heat to easily disperse from the cable. Permitting the possibility of using a lower-rated cable to minimize project costs.
